On December 24, 2012 Progressive Era member Capital Steez was reported dead after posting on twitter “THE END.” His death was allegedly self-inflicted.
Capital Steez was one of the greatest rappers out today! His raps had lyrical eloquence and political satire that was incredibly thought provoking. He was up there with Tupac, Public Enemy,or Ab-Soul and he was only 19. Sad that the world doesn’t get the chance see Cap Steez grow up and put out great records, but the music he already put out convey his complex perspective. The song Free The Robots is a great example of his sound. I have probably listened to this song 50 times since Christmas eve. My prayers go out to both his biological family and his musical collaborative Pro Era. I can’t wait to see the legacy he left and the artists he inspired

Rap in peace Bro!
